Slow Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
Your main content takes too long to render, hurting rankings and UX.
What it is
LCP measures how long the largest visible element (usually a hero image or heading) takes to render. Above 2.5s is poor; above 4s is failing.
Why it matters
LCP is a Core Web Vital and confirmed ranking factor. Slow LCP correlates with higher bounce, lower conversions, and weaker mobile rankings.
How to fix it
Serve images in WebP/AVIF with width/height, preload the hero, eliminate render-blocking CSS/JS, use a CDN, and defer non-critical scripts. Measure with field data, not just lab tools.
